Fragmented Beauty: The Intangible Female Identity, an international online solo exhibition by Lynne Mizera opens on October 16, and will continue for two months until December 16, 2023.
Lynne Mizera is fascinated by how the woman she meets are always striving to present a pretty and polished face to the world but hide so much more behind that surface image. She keep trying to capture that "something more" in the layers of paint and papers and texture in her pieces.

Artist:
Lynne Mizera, a self-taught, mixed media artist, realized early on that she saw the world differently than most, and has spent the past few years sharing that vision. Using collage papers she makes herself and acrylic paints and inks, she builds up layers of mediums to create pieces filled with simple shapes and rich with vibrant colours and textures. She recently has become fascinated with the female face and is in the process of creating a body of work embracing the female face and the emotions hidden behind most women’s outer image. Lynne currently lives in the Kootenay Mountains in British Columbia, Canada were she spends her days being creative in her art studio, her kitchen and her garden.
