Vertical Gallery is proud to present Greg Gossel “Labor of Love”. In his third solo show at the gallery, the Minneapolis-based artist will feature new original mixed-media works on wood and paper. The exhibition runs November 3 - 24, with an opening reception with the artist on Saturday, November 3rd, 6:00-9:00pm.

“Labor of Love” explores the ups and downs of human relationships through a series of 36 new works. This collection employs a vibrant pop color palette, bringing to life the densely layered comic narrative which weaves throughout each piece.

Since his last exhibition at Vertical Gallery, Gossel has created artwork and on-site installations for a number of high-profile professional sports venues including U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, and Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

With a background in design, his work is an expressive interplay of many diverse words, images, and gestures. Gossel’s multi-layered work illustrates a visual history of change and process that simultaneously features and condemns popular culture. His commercial clients include Levi’s, American Express, Hyundai, Burton Snowboards, and Interscope Records; and has been published widely, including The San Francisco Chronicle and Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine.
