Code Ukraine in the Art of Oksana Rudenko and Oksana Tanasiv
Oksana Tanasiv Gallery presents its June’s guest and invites visitors to the two artists show Code Ukraine featuring unique watercolor series by Ukrainian artist Oksana Rudenko and Oksana Tanasiv.

Opening reception on Saturday, June 10, from 6pm to 9pm.
The exhibition will be open to the public from June 10 through July 15, 2023. A public opening reception will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 6pm to 9pm and will include a conversation with the visitors about sacred meaning of Ukrainian embroidery symbols. The gallery will be serving alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, and lite-fare.
Interested collectors may call the Oksana Tanasiv Gallery to arrange a private appointment Monday-Wednesday or visit the show Thursday-Saturday , 2-6pm.
Oksana Tanasiv Gallery is located at 70 South Main Street, in the heart of SoNo, CT. The gallery is easily accessible by Metro-North and is only a 10-minute walk from the South Norwalk train station. For those traveling by car, metered street parking is available paid by credit-card or coins. Parking may also be purchased at the Haviland St and SoNo Square lot, located approximately a 5-minute walk from the gallery.
Oksana Rudenko is Ukrainian artist-refugee who escaped bombed Ukraine at the beginning of the war, when the full invasion of the country by Russia happened.
Today Oksana lives in works in Germany.
Oksana Rudenko is a Bachelor of Fine Art and she graduated Dnipropetrovsk Regional Theatre and Art College (Ukraine) in 2005. She has an impressive
experience with various techniques and materials, including watercolors, colored pencils, acrylic, experience with stained glass, Tiffany technique, and work with murals.
The visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy her most beautiful, highly detailed
watercolor series dedicated to Ukrainian traditional scenes, Ukrainian culture, traditional embroidery patterns.
Oksana Tanasiv is an artist whose work can be found in private collections worldwide. Her experience as a multinational, Ukrainian-born, American artist and former career as a model, visual decorator has gifted her with a unique perspective inspiring her work to speak upon issues diverse as economics, spirituality, fashion, celebrity, and beauty. Tanasiv demonstrates communicative strength in realism, surrealism, abstract, and pop art throughout her many collections. She can be found experimenting with a variety of techniques and media. Her most recent series, Code U, utilizes layers of epoxy and collage with interactive LED lights to convey her message of eternity and the profound joy of life.
During the show artist will present her series Code U, dedicated to Ukraine and its culture. The series are abstract compositions featuring Ukrainian geometric patterns . Symbols, signs, systems and unique patterns used in fashion embroidery for hundreds years by ancestors of Ukrainians. According to ethnography’ research the embroidery symbols hold special vibrations, strength, and energy.
In 2020, Oksana opened her new gallery located in the heart of SoNo, Connecticut. She is using her space to create a flourishing community of Tri-State Area artists and collectors.
Currently Oksana is represented by Sorokin Gallery and Chilton&Chadwick in Greenwich, Katarina Zavodszka Gallery and Big Art Now in Palm Beach along with Art Central Galleria in NYC. Her work has been sold both internationally and throughout the United States.
