Chelsea, New York: 532 Gallery is pleased to announce Whispers In The Twilight, an exhibition of paintings by Italian artist Fulvio Gonella. 

Since Gonella’s teenage years, he has been enthralled by the realm of art brut, a domain where diverse perspectives craft distinct realities. However, amidst this spectrum, a crucial element was conspicuously absent: light. This absence propelled the artist on a decade-long journey of research and collaboration with exceptional artists, some of whom are on the autistic spectrum, and who possess unique and inspiring visions of reality. This journey illuminated the potent stream of light that courses through our artistic creations and revealed the multifaceted nature of reality, a complex tapestry woven from the threads of human perspectives.

'Whispers in the Twilight' is an exploration of the themes of duality and transformation. We, as humans, are spiritual beings confined to physical bodies, a dichotomy that defines our very existence. Yet, regardless of our origins, the quest for transformation is a universal journey. Gonella’s exploration and recent body of work aims to shed light on this journey, highlighting the struggles and triumphs inherent in a continually evolving process centered duality and transformation.
