The Main Gallery in Menlo Park is pleased to present Images of Joy, new photographic images by Bill Lazar. His artist’s statement for the exhibited work is as follows:
In photography, I believe that I have found the ability to capture the feelings that my subjects inspire in me, whether it be joy, gratitude or awe. I hope that those viewing my images can at least experience some of those feelings.

Bill Lazar grew up in Los Angeles getting degrees in the sciences in LA and Illinois before moving to the Bay Area in 1976. He has always been involved in some art or craft. He has been dabbling in photography since he was a teenager and taking images professionally since 2016.
The Main Gallery was established in Redwood City in 2000 to enrich the artistic experience of the community. We moved to Menlo Park in 2020 and are delighted to be considered a local institution, and one of the Bay Area’s bright spots for fresh, innovative and exciting art. Located on Santa Cruz Ave in downtown Menlo Park, we are a peninsula-based artists’ cooperative showcasing work from a rich variety of some of the best local talent in the Bay Area.
