Studio106 Art Gallery is delighted to announce a joint exhibition with the recent work from Jenny Leach and Jan Malaszek, two London based professional artists and teachers.
JENNY LEACH
Jenny’s work includes oil paintings, etchings and drawings and is figurative - scenarios from memory in day to day life as well as life drawings and portraits form the inspiration for her visual language. The exhibition includes a selection of Jenny’s paintings and etchings done over the last ten years, as well as a folder of Jenny’s recent life drawings.
JAN MALASZEK
Jan will be showing a group of paintings called the 'Garden Suite' which are based on photographs he gradually recovered from a Hastings junk shop over several years. Jan has an interest in the relationship between painting and photography and sees painting as a way of bringing to light overlooked and hidden elements, which the photographic process obscures.
