The first exhibition of Intermission Collective
On the 28th of March Intermission Collective will hold its first exhibition at the Rathaus-Galerie Reinickendorf (Reinickendorf Townhall).
In a space rigidly defined by its functions as public institution, we - 27 international artists - will showcase our perspectives about the resilient anomic element interfering in every functional context.
We will explore possible patterns of meaning at the borders between social and cultural structures and the metaphorical space of the anomy.
In the course of the exhibition the most representative artists will be selected for an art residency that will take place in Paduli, IT, in the hinterland of Naples.
Heavily damaged and depopulated by a tragic earthquake in 1962, Paduli will be the ground zero for artistic interventions that aim to define new interpretations of human space.
Intermission is a newly born collective of artists from international backgrounds.
We support artists establishing autonomy from business-driven intermediation and promoting the critical understanding of their work.
