Evolution of Gestural Figures, an international online solo exhibition by Eileen S Kane, opens on January 05, 2023, and will continue through February 05, 2023.

As a professional artist based in Portland, OR since 1983, Eileen has pursued depictions of the moving human figure. Her earlier detailed charcoal and graphite drawings (1987-1997), focused upon people of diverse ethnicities, protesting inequality and hostility. In her later works, she has no longer included faces or skin color, simplifying the figures to forms interacting with each other. Her current works are fluid, simplified, and generalized while her protest figures are moving in two meanings; physically and emotionally, as they become refugees.
