- About -

Artizan Gallery was opened by Julie Brandon in 2014 in response to a 2012 ‘Open Space’ event which asked the question: “What is Torbay’s Cultural Future?”. Determined to nurture and contribute to the thriving artistic community in Torbay, Julie took inspiration from a place synonymous with art, St Ives in Cornwall, aiming to create an elegant and comfortable space to promote local artists’ talent from across Torbay, and the South West. 2017 has seen Artizan Gallery embark on a bold new venture: the 2017 Solo Series, with a focus on showcasing individual artists in month-long exhibitions.
2018 will see the gallery continue along similar lines with a series of solo and small group shows but the team will also be launching their Garden Salon, a year- long rolling Open Exhibition in its own dedicated space providing multiple opportunities for art to be displayed and seen. Alongside these, the Basement Gallery is also now fully open, providing a dedicated display space for 3D works.
