Agora Gallery is pleased to announce the 4th Chelsea International Photography Competition Exhibition, a juried exhibition of contemporary photographs by local and international artists. The annual photography competition exhibition provides a select group of photographers with the opportunity to showcase their work in the heart of Chelsea, New York City’s fine arts district. The selected artists were handpicked by an esteemed panel of jurors.

The judging committee is comprised of Bill Armstrong and Nelson Bakerman. Bill Armstrong is a New York-based fine art photographer and a faculty member of the School of Visual Arts and The International Center of Photography. His work is located in various museum collections and has been published in multiple books on photography. Nelson Bakerman has been recognized as one of the most versatile photographers in New York since moving to Manhattan in 1976, working in both still and video formats. He teaches at the International Center of Photography and his work has been exhibited in various museums, centers, and institutions in New York. His photographs are located in numerous private collections belonging to museums and centers internationally. 

The exhibition will be on view at Agora Gallery from February 23 to March 1, 2023, with an opening reception on Thursday, February 23, 6-8 PM. Admission to the gallery is free.
