The Current is pleased to invite the public to its 2026 Summer Opening Festival, a vibrant community celebration taking place on Saturday, June 20, 2026. This free event marks the opening of our summer indoor exhibition and the return of Exposed, our highly anticipated annual outdoor sculpture exhibition. Join us for an afternoon of contemporary art, engaging dialogue, live music, and complimentary food and drink, while enjoying the beauty of summer in Vermont.

Currently Speaking: Miles Greenberg in conversation with Rachel Moore

4:00–5:00 p.m.

Artist Miles Greenberg joins Executive Director and Director of Exhibitions Rachel Moore for a special conversation exploring his practice, process, and the ideas behind his exhibition at The Current. This event is free and open to the public; RSVPs are strongly encouraged as space is limited.

Exposed Opening Walkabout & Artist Talks

5:00–6:00 p.m.

Opening celebration for the 35th annual Exposed outdoor sculpture exhibition, including recognition of Christopher Curtis and the late John Matusz, followed by a guided walking tour through Stowe Village with artist talks at select sculpture sites.

Festival Celebration at The Current with Rajnii Eddins and Lost Faculty Duo

6:00–7:00 p.m.

Live poetry reading with Rajnii Eddins, live music by The Lost Faculty Duo, and complimentary refreshments and food on the lawn at The Current. Join Rajnii Eddins—poet, teaching artist, and cultural organizer—as he speaks to the times through the transformative power of poetry. Drawing on themes of love, peace, joy, creativity, hope, and boundless imagination, Rajnii’s work offers affirmation of our shared humanity and a heartfelt invitation to connection, healing, and possibility in a moment that deeply calls for all of the above.

Miles Greenberg is a New York-based performance artist and sculptor making his Vermont debut and first solo exhibition with The Current. Through immersive environments, durational performance, video, and sculpture, Greenberg explores the body as sculptural material, using endurance, ritual, and transformation to heighten sensory and emotional experience.
