Artist Bio
Justin McGonigle is a self taught artist who has been painting for over twenty years. His interest in art began with drawing, and as a very young person learned to draw while watching the television program Captain Bob. Justin continued to draw until he discovered the medium of paint while in his early twenties. His first painting was done in Seattle, WA on a stretched canvas someone had thrown away. Over the years he has produced a large body of work ranging from abstract expressionist paintings to still life, from landscapes to self portraits. His work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions in New Bedford, MA, Fitchburg, MA, Plymouth, MA, Nashua, NH, Gardner, MA and Atlanta, GA. Justin's work is part of many private collections nationwide. He currently lives and works in Ashburnham, MA.
