Artist Statement
"I grew up in a small town in Manitoba, with not much to do. I would watch my mom draw and eventually paint, I guess that's where it all began. I remember as a small child drawing famous cartoon characters, then moving on to people and animals. As an adult, I stumbled across alcohol ink paintings which ignited a passion for the vibrant colors and fluidity of the inks. I love looking at a blank paper, dropping a color, and seeing where it takes me. There is no plan, the inks guide me. I love the freedom to create without restrictions or expectations."
