Collage artists Natalie Ciccoricco and Kerith Lisi are showing their art at Café La Tartine in Redwood City. Both artists work in mixed media and Natalie also has illustrations on view.

Natalie's mixed media collages are all original, analog works that consist of found paper, photographs and embroidery thread, which she uses to weave together new narratives on paper. Her illustrations are personal snapshots of things she's seen. She loves to experiment with different materials and re-uses old images and paper. In doing so, it is her hope to bring new life to these materials, so they can be enjoyed and appreciated once again. For her artworks, she draw inspiration from her dreams, nature, arts, literature and her travels.

Kerith sees the world as a busy, overwhelming place. Collage is her way of paying attention to that which goes unnoticed. Each piece is an invitation to slow down and notice the beauty in the details of everyday life. Drawing inspiration from the color, texture and graphics of various ephemera, she combines seemingly unrelated elements to tell a new story.

This art show is on view the whole month of May.
