This show features only artwork made on oval shaped canvases. Reminiscent of the Victorian-era cameos popular with antique collectors, the oval canvas has a unique distinction. It is an unusual shape, not unlike the "shaped canvases" popular amongst artists working in New York for short period following the 1960s. However, it is the most common amongst canvases that break away from the traditional rectangle. Concept proposed by Sharon Volpe.
