In October NYAE explores relational duality with a joint exhibition by Matt Rota and Shiri Mordechay alongside Fay Ku exhibiting "Eye Teeth" in the Project Room and Mark Lariviere showcasing "Personage" in the Courtyard.

Matt Rota is a New York-based illustrator and fine artist specializing in narrative technique with watercolor and ink media. Rota’s works have been widely published and exhibited; he teaches graduates at the School of Visual Arts and has authored three books on illustration techniques.

Shiri Mordechay was born in Israel and raised in Nigeria. She received a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA from School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work is primarily ink paintings on paper, often grotesque and sardonic, with added materials such as wire or beads. Solo exhibitions have occurred in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Italy. Mordechay has been interviewed by Juxtapoz, Artillery and Art in America magazines and she was featured in the 2020 New American Paintings publication (juried by Jerry Saltz). 

Fay Ku is a Taiwan-born,New York City-based artist whose work is figurative, narrative and connects with past and present cultural histories. She is the recipient of a 2007 Louis Comfort Tiffany Grant and 2009 New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship grant.  She has exhibited both nationally and internationally including solo exhibitions at the Honolulu Museum of Art ( Honolulu, Hawaii), Marlboro College (Marlboro, VT), New Britain Museum of American Art (New Britain, CT) and Snite Museum of Art (South Bend, IN).   Her work is in the collection of Academy Art Museum (Easton, MD), Honolulu Museum of Art, Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art (Las Vegas, NV), New Britain Museum of American Art, and the Wadsworth Atheneum (Hartford, CT).  She has also participated in several artist residencies including Wave Hill (The Bronx, NY),  Lower East Side Printshop (New York, NY), Tamarind Institute (Albuquerque, NV), and Bemis Center for Contemporary Art (Omaha, NE).
