GREMILLION &CO. FINE ART, INC. is pleased to present an exhibition of recent work entitled Liminal Spaces by the American painter Elizabeth Chandler. The opening reception will be held Thursday, March 7 from 6-8pm.

Ms. Chandler received a BFA from Stanford University. She resides in Desert Hot Springs, California and works from her studio in downtown Los Angeles. Throughout her work, images of a soft, steady rainfall appear as shapes, patterns, lines and elements defining both figure and ground. Dreamlike, her paintings seem to float in and out from the surface. Peter Frank, in his essay Shape Rain, provides a fresh perspective on Chandler's recent work: "The energy of Chandler's paintings is at once anxious and meditative, a mantra enunciated with force and conviction; they dream with one eye open."
