Peninsula Photographic Arts Guild Presents

From Concept to Print

Half Moon Bay, California – March 25, 2019 – The Peninsula Photographic Arts Guild (PPAG) is pleased to present a unique exhibition of photographs to be displayed at the Coastal Arts League Gallery. The exhibit is to be on view from April 18, 2019 through May 5, 2019 at the Gallery, 300 Main Street in Half Moon Bay.  The reception with the artists will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 2 - 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

This exhibition features the works of 10 PPAG artists whose exceptional creative concepts have resulted in a wide-ranging visual presentation of 50 distinctive and wide-ranging fine art images.PPAG is an association of Bay Area photographers who are dedicated to the creation and promotion of Fine Art Photography. Each photographer has studied photography extensively through programs, seminars, workshops and colleges in the Bay Area; and elsewhere including the San Francisco Art Institute, the San Francisco Academy of Art, Stanford University, the College of San Mateo and Foothill College. PPAG selects its members through a juried process.  Many in the group have won photography awards and have been published in photographic magazines Photographers participating in the exhibit are Jerry Barrack, Linda Barsotti, Barry Fleisher, John Garvic, Martha Ketterer, Ellen Lee, David Massolo, Rita Melamud, Steve Okonek and Cheryl Strong.

About the Coastal Arts League:  Since 1970, the Coastal Arts League has been providing a place for artists to meet and show their work.  Like any small non-profit, we exist because of our volunteers, who help with exhibits, receptions and special events.  The Coastal Arts League is the place to meet people, immerse in the arts and serve the community.  We propose that by working together, we can have an impact on the quality of life for everyone in the community.  The Coastal Arts League Gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays.  For more information about our programs, visit the website:  www.coastside-artists.com
