Creative Connections Gallery is pleased to participate in the 1st annual Fitchburg Open Studios event! Artist Randy LeSage will be in the gallery to demonstrate various printmaking techniques.
About the 'tour':
Fitchburg Open Studios is a free, self-guided, art discovery tour, which takes place over the Fall weekend of October 27th and 28th. This tour, allows you to visit with as many artists and locations as you desire, with each stop offering its own unique and varied experience. Using the City of Fitchburg as the “core” of the tour, Open Studios branches off to include artists in several neighboring communities, all of which are within an easy drive of each other. Simply grab a map, plan your day, and enjoy a little “leaf peeping” along the way!
Whether you’re an experienced collector, new to the art scene, or simply curious about art and the creative process, this is an incredible opportunity to experience first-hand the actual working spaces, exhibition spaces, and studios of some of the most accomplished artists in the greater Fitchburg area. You will have an open and welcoming invitation to meet the artists, network, watch demonstrations and techniques, ask questions, study their creative space and processes, and if you desire, purchase artwork right from the source! This is a unique opportunity and an inspirational event. It is a great way to meet people who share your passion for art, “talk shop”, and interact with them in their own personal studio and workspace.
Artist:
Randy LeSage works in various media, including drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media. His most recent works reflect his interest in the New England industrial landscape, which remain an indelible part of our 'natural' environment. Randy holds a B.A. in Fine Art from Framingham State University and a M.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He has exhibited at many New England galleries, including the Mazmanian Gallery at Framingham State University, Framingham, MA, the Kingston Gallery in Boston, MA, ArtsWorcester in Worcester, MA, the Fitchburg Art Museum in Fitchburg, MA, and the T.W. Wood Gallery at Vermont College. He currently teaches at the Worcester Art Museum and the Fitchburg Art Museum.
