In this show, Kingston Gallery Associate Artists (Boston) present work that re-imagines relationships between people, animals and other forms of life against a backdrop of encroachment and disrespect for maintaining a healthy balance and respect for the world we share.
Using painting, mixed media methods, printmaking and sculptural media, the six participating artists investigate the spaces where the wild collides with the constructs of routine human life, whether urban, suburban or rural.
While each artist’s perspective differs, the show aims to illuminate conflicts we may often overlook, with the expectation that by focusing on different aspects of the problem we can seek unique and subtle solutions. The ultimate goal is to protect the delicate balance between human activities and the wild resilience of nature, creating a world where we live in concert with the whole rather than in dominion over it.
