Some of the most prominent private and state art collections have shown great interest in his work and now own a number of pieces, including the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. About his work, the artist writes, "I use soft and light colors. My watercolors are contemplative. I like to immerse the viewer in the information that they would not be able to get enough of elsewhere". Alexei’s paintings are a unique distillation of observation and memory.
His paintings have been exhibited in Berlin, Heidelberg, Tel Aviv, Warsaw, Boston, Zurich, and Moscow.
