How would you like to try your hand at creative writing using visual vs. verbal prompts?
A technique called Ekphrastic writing inspires writers at all levels. The term derives from the Latin word meaning “deep detail” and has inspired many writers and poets, from noted authors and newcomers.
Elayne Clift, a widely published poet and writer, offers popular Ekphrastic writing workshops at various venues. She says, “having folks come to a workshop where they can view and contemplate art works as writing prompts offers an exciting and special opportunity to explore the connection between art and literature. Many participants say it opened their imagination!“
The figurative paintings and drawings of Kat O'Connor will provide inspiration for this workshop!
