Scott Dresner is anything but ordinary.  His 30+-year career designing Italian kitchens has landed him with a reputation as one of the country’s leading innovators and on September 7^th you’ll see why.  Dresner is designing and building a kitchen in the middle or The River North Design District in one single day.  It’s located on the corner of Wells and Hubbard in the middle of the sidewalk.  The pop up is one of the highlights for this year’s 4^th annual River North Design District Gallery Walk and will be embellished by Chicago Calligraffiti artist Tubs with his signature blazoned and bold vibe. The pair, quite an unlikely duo, is guaranteed to make great music together.

All in the Details

The pop up kitchen will be located on the corner of Wells and Hubbard on September 7^th.  The kitchen will have an 9’ island with smoked glass on the front and a light gray wood stain on the back. The top of the island is a medium charcoal gray laminate with a smoky pattern. The 6’ pantry with a pair of double ovens and refrigerator is where your can meet Tubs, the artist in residence, and succumb to his bold sexy vibe.

“Great design is for everyone.  And that is what our POP UP KITCHEN is about.  We are bringing great design to the sidewalk for public consumption.  People can walk right up and experience an Italian kitchen in a casual and fun environment without the pretense of a snotty showroom”, says Scott Dresner of Dresner Design.

Passerby’s can enjoy refreshments from River North’s Marchesa, talk to Dresner and see all the bells and whistles an Italian kitchen has to offer.  Dresner partners with Italian manufacturer STOSA Cucine where he enjoys a relationship with the Sani family.

The pop up will be for one day only. The kitchen will be set up in the morning on September 7^th and removed in the evening.  Get your kitchen while it’s hot.
