Closing Reception for Chicago Skylines Collection at Fabcakes

Join us for an Exhibition Closing Reception at Fabcakes in the River North gallery district!

Chicago Skyline Collection 1, an exhibition of large-scale photographs of Chicago by architectural photographer David Seide is on display through May 20 in the River north gallery district.  The closing reception will take place on Friday, May 17 from 5:30-9:30PM at Fabcakes,  714 N Wells. There will be Chicago-themed poetry readings by August Evans, Elizabeth Sterzinger & Lyndee Yamshon at 7:00PM. 

The exhibition features photos of soaring skylines that are visual representations of a Chicagoan’s love for this city. This collection draws from Seide’s personal and commercial work.  The large format of each piece envelopes the viewer, who, rather than merely looking “at” the image, becomes immersed in it, as one becomes immersed in Chicago’s sweeping vistas and dynamic energy. Whether a visitor, a past or future resident, or simply an admirer of Chicago, these images offer the viewer unique perspectives of a remarkable city.
