For this Jerwood Staging Series 2022 event, commissioned artist Rieko Whitfield presents a performance art soirée, Enter Regenesis.
Enter Regenesis is a multi-sensory ceremony in which Rieko will perform unreleased music and tracks from her debut Regenesis EP, guiding the audience through liquid introspection and hypnotic club beats toward collective healing.
This event will also feature a multigenerational line-up of sonic alchemists including sound healer Noriko Whitfield, artist and DJ Nanzhen Yang, and backing band and producers of the Regenesis EP Jared Bennett and Ben Gardiner. Attendees are invited to come dressed for the occasion, and pulsate to the frequency of another fluid world.

About Rieko Whitfield
Rieko Whitfield is a London-based, Japanese-American artist, writer, and musician who weaves non-linear speculative mythologies into expanded performance. Rieko’s tentacular storytelling draws from microcosms of lived experience, expanding to political, ancestral, and more-than-human macrocosms. Her current project will culminate in the launch of her debut Regenesis EP in 2023. riekowhitfield.com
Format
Visitor are welcome to arrive from 6:45pm and this event will start at 7pm lasting up to an hour featuring a sound healing performance and a debut performance of the Regenesis EP.
The performances will be followed by a reception accompanied by a live sound scape.
This event will be standing, some seating options will also be available.
