Graduating from Birmingham City University’s School of Jewellery
in 2016, Wright’s current collection is inspired by various forms of
documentation, including some pieces that include personal draft
notes. Rather than using paper Wright writes notes on plywood,
and instead of throwing away notes that are no longer needed,
she laser cuts the wood and creates wearables, giving her once
important notes a new lease of life. Other pieces focus on the marks
made through the process of making them. From the handwritten
qualities and the colours created by heating the metal, a collection
is created where every piece is unique.
