Heatwave

Noisy Room Projects and The Art Thread are proud to present Heatwave at 67 York Street Gallery. Bringing together the work of eight contemporary artists: Kim Suchonvanich, Trinity Ellis, Zazie Julie, Breanna Gordon, Judy Clarkson, Megan Kyte, Siuli-mo Pal, and Hongru Zhang.

Translating dialogue into our physical environment, this exhibition positions works in close proximity, where sweat, desire, and tension rise with the temperature. These artists capture a state of transition and tension. Moving between intimacy and discomfort, exploring bodies in a state of excess: overheating, softening, and slipping out of control. Being held in the lingering heat of summer, we ask, what does it mean to exist together in conditions that do not cool?
