Figures of Eight - Presented by BobCat Gallery

Online art retailer BobCat Gallery will host a month-long virtual exhibition featuring eight contemporary figurative artists from 1st - 31st August 2023. ‘Figures of Eight’ brings together eight female painters and printmakers from all across the UK to showcase their varied viewpoints on humanity.

Including a selection of original pieces depicting the human form, each with a unique perspective on both our inner and outer worlds, the exhibition is a striking and poignant collection of works.

Curator and BobCat Gallery Founder, Catherine Sweet, says: 

“This collection is a fascinating snapshot of the myriad of ways that figurative art can be interpreted - from vibrant portraits to sensual nudes, half glimpsed expressions that hint at emotional turmoil, and spirited pieces that turn a classical ‘male gaze’ on its head. Whether with paint or print, these talented artists display incredible skill in bringing their subjects to life.”

Participating artists: Despina Symeou, Emmanuelle Orr, Kristin Rawcliffe, Linda C Burrows, Pernilla Iggstrom, Sara Reeve, Sal Jones and Siusan Patterson.
