EYESHOCK - The Vision of Young Asian Artists

City:

Categories:

A series of photographs, prints of paintings, drawings and sculptures produced by artists from Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea. The most exciting thing about this exhibition is that it is curated and disseminated by young art/film students and it gives you an opportunity to see a perspective of young Asian artists and their insight of the contemporary world. It also allows you to explore different expressions of art itself, as this exhibition will include 8 different artists who have very unique and specific ways of expressing their ideas.

Asian countries started to explore different methods and forms of art that have gradually developed in recent years. A lot of young Asian artists come to London to learn more about the western way of creating art. China, Japan, and Korea are a few of the most economically, socially and culturally prominent countries in Asia; despite the similarities between each of them there are also cultural distinctions. This you can notice in various art works where there are different uses of colour, shade and shapes; even the concepts are very specific within each Asian culture.
