Loop Lab Busan, the groundbreaking offshoot of Barcelona’s legendary Loop Festival, debuts this April 24–26, 2025 as a global hub for digital and media art. Set against Busan’s tech-forward cultural landscape, the festival merges cutting-edge creativity with sustainability through three key strands: an Exhibition, Forum, and Art Fair.

At the heart of the event, the Loop Lab Busan Fair reimagines art viewing by transforming the Grand Josun Busan Hotel into an intimate showcase. Galleries from Barcelona to Seoul, including Load gallery, will occupy hotel rooms, turning private spaces into immersive art encounters. Attendees can explore works while engaging in artist talks and networking sessions, breaking down traditional barriers between creators and audiences.

As one of the seven Barcelona gallery selected, Load stands out with its presentation of Species, a captivating video piece by Ezequiel Pini (Six N. Five). Known for his visionary 3D animations, Pini crafts speculative worlds where digital art and design collide. This work, first unveiled at Load’s 2024 launch, continues his exploration of surreal, hyper-detailed ecosystems.

I chose to open the gallery in Barcelona rather than Paris because the city has an innovative spirit. It felt more open to media art and already had key trailblazers, such as Sónar+D and, of course, Loop. It's essential that a fair with Loop’s reputation embraces digital art, and I hope the upcoming Barcelona edition will include digital art along with video art.” - notes Load's Founder Alex Simorrè.

With its blend of established and emerging participants, Loop Lab Busan positions Busan as Asia’s new frontier for experimental art, and Load as a gallery to watch.
