URBAN ART MEETS GALLERY
July Exhibition
Berlin-based muralist and painter Mate Artist transforms realism into large-scale visual narratives, drawing from his roots in street art and his ongoing exploration of color, sustainability, and urban space. His works balance technical precision with immediacy, combining graphic clarity and rich detail to create images that resonate both in the cityscape and within the gallery environment.
Ekaterina Koroleva (KiKi) presents a body of work that celebrates femininity through expressive portraits, organic forms, and fluid color experimentation. Working primarily with ink, watercolor, and pencil, she embraces the unpredictable nature of her materials, creating compositions that are both delicate and powerful. Her series Wild Flowers explores the tension between control and spontaneity, revealing beauty in the untamed.
Together, these artists offer two distinct approaches to image-making: one shaped by the scale and energy of the urban environment, the other by the freedom and intimacy of analogue processes. Despite their differences, both practices are united by a fascination with color, human presence, and the transformative power of visual storytelling.
Urban Art Meets Gallery is a year-long exhibition series dedicated to bringing together artists from street art, illustration, painting, mural, and beyond, the series creates unexpected encounters and new conversations between the public energy of urban culture and the reflective space of the gallery.
