Stripes, Stickers and Polka Dots, an international online solo painting art exhibition by Sandra Kaplan opens on March 10, and will continue for two months until May 10, 2024.
Sandra Kaplan's work is focused on plants and patterning in nature. She magically paints the very individual characteristics of each plant in her paintings, as if it a Plant Portrait.

Artist:
Sandra Kaplan has spent her life as a painter, working in watercolor, acrylic, oil and mixed media. Sandra’s work can be found in corporate and private collections throughout the US, as well as in Stockholm, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Hong Kong and Japan. Sandra’s paintings have been recognized in a variety of publications including The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, American Artist, Southwest Art, The SantaFean, Artist Magazine and Art in America.
Among the awards Sandra has received are a grant from the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation and a Co-Visions Grant from the Colorado Council of the Arts. She was awarded a fellowship to YADDO, a prestigious artist’s colony in Saratoga, N.Y. She graduated with honors from Pratt Institute in New York City, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Post Graduate work was done at Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center in Manhattan.
Sandra often serves as a mentor to artists, offering career advice and critiques.
She on the faculty of the Art Students League of Denver, and has taught numerous workshops in Italy, France, Mexico, and the US. She spent 6 years as a Trustee and Secretary of the Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver, and several years as Vice President of the Board of the Colorado Lawyers for the Arts.
