Sense of Square, an international online solo mixed media exhibition by Maki Nakane opens on October 15, and will continue for two months until December 15, 2023.
Maki Nakane's art takes the viewers into a colourful dreamlike space, something that’s not realism or unrealism. She incorporates fabric as one of the ways to express the images that appeared in her thoughts. The unique enveloping softness and warmth of fabric, the quietness of gazing the surroundings, sometimes the roughness of fabric, and to turn her idea gradually into a work of art. She is fascinated by the collaboration of fabric which can freely change shapes and the acrylic paints that can express feelings infinitely.

In 1991, I was selected for the Peruvian Art Grand Prix Exhibition, followed by the Modern Art Exhibition. After that, I was selected in the Moden Art Exhibition many more times. I’m also doing solo and group exhibitions in Japan and China.
