Sylvia's Awe-Inspiring Gallery of Art, an international online painting and drawing exhibition by Sylvia Sylos, officially opens on April 14 and continues for two months until June 14, 2025.

Step into a world where graphite breathes life, color speaks emotion, and every stroke tells a story — welcome to Sylvia’s Awe-Inspiring Gallery of Art. This exhibition unveils the deeply personal and imaginative journey of self-taught artist Sylvia Sylos, whose art is as diverse as it is heartfelt.

Rooted in the quiet stillness of late evenings, Sylvia's creative process is a meditative ritual. With music gently playing in the background, she allows her emotions to guide her pencil or brush — translating feeling into form. A healthcare professional by day and an artist by night, Sylvia weaves the compassion of her public service career into each artwork, making every piece an extension of her spirit.

Working predominantly with the #2 pencil, Sylvia finds joy in the subtle gradations, expressive shadows, and fine detailing that graphite allows. Her monochrome pieces, such as A Mother's Tender Touch and Shelling of a Pearl, speak volumes in shades of gray, each revealing depth, tenderness, and a reverence for life’s simple wonders. In Legendary Nipsey Hussle, she captures raw human strength and emotion, drawing viewers into a soulful portrait that celebrates legacy and impact.

Yet her world is not confined to grayscale. Sylvia’s vibrant paintings like Purplelystic and Oranges Splendor burst with color and vitality, inviting us into moments of beauty and joy. Moons Glistening Reflections and Harmony reflect her ability to cross into abstraction, where color and form dance freely. Whether through flora, fauna, or fantasy, she explores themes of identity, transformation, and connection.

Her works such as Lady Butterfly Delight and Bridge Through Her Eyes blend surrealism with symbolism — a butterfly becomes a woman’s wings, a bridge becomes the lens of perception. These visual metaphors are drawn from Sylvia’s emotional connection to her subjects, a bond that she describes as the spark that ignites her effortless flow.

In Creatures Cozy Clubhouse, she displays whimsy and wonder, inviting us into an imaginative natural world, while Harmony demonstrates her balance between order and expression.

Sylvia Sylos is not merely presenting art — she’s offering her inner world. This gallery is a glimpse into a soul at play, at peace, and in deep reflection. May her creations draw you in, stir your senses, and leave a lasting imprint on your heart.

Artist ( Description ):

I reside in Fairfield, California, USA. My career path is in Healthcare Administration and in Public Health and Human Services. I hold a degree in Health Administration and Management. A few things outside of work and art that I enjoy doing are going on walks, spending time with loved ones, watching documentaries, attending car shows and street festivals, volunteering, visiting art galleries and enjoying a nice home cooked meal.

I have been drawing ever since I was a little girl. Over the years I have taught myself many techniques and how-to-steps to enhance my skills and I am still a work in progress. I hope my body of work draws you in, evoke emotions and resonate within.
