Vitality, an international online solo Photography exhibition by Nikita Kamat, opens on January 09, 2023, and will continue through February 09, 2023.
Nikita's photos in this series are based on raw food ingredients that she uses in her day to day cooking at home. The project was created during the pandemic isolation in her apartment using just a basic light setup. As all of us were confined to our homes, cooking served as a therapy and a way to keep her busy. One day as she was preparing her meal, she looked closely at the raw ingredients and they appeared to her as abstract figures and forms, each different and surreal in nature.

Artist:
I am a creative photographer and a graduate from the One Year Conservatory Program in Photography from New York Film Academy. I specialize in Commercial Photography and have expertise in product, portraiture, food and beverage, my current work explores the abstract fusion of commercial, nature and wildlife. Studying at NYFA broadened my creative gaze, honing my skills and creative thought process, resulting in the growth of new work ethics and aesthetic professionalism. I am a native from Goa, India, and currently living in Hoboken, NJ. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts specializing in Graphic Design and a Diploma in Professional Photography from Light and Life Academy, Ooty, India.
