See Line Gallery presents Museum of Temporary Art curated by Janet Levy, an evolving group exhibition in homage to Janet Schmuckal and MOTA. Featured artists are referencing time, space and temporariness. The exhibition includes works on paper, posters, monoprints, photography, objects, collage, video, painting and sculpture.

MOTA was a pioneer alternative venue for the arts between 1974 and 1982 in Washington, DC. Founder Janet Bell Scmuckal was the heart and soul of MOTA during its existence. MOTA was a cultural museum functioning as a multi-media press, a community arts program, a small press collection and a multi-media performance space.

In conjunction with the Museum of Temporary Art, curator Janet Levy will assemble a pop-up Janet & Janet Shop at For Your Art space 6020 Wilshire Blvd. LA opening August 24, 2012.
