Since 1983, Chelsea Frames has built its reputation as a premier New York custom framing studio specializing in framing for many galleries, movie production companies, architects and top interior designers. Having distinguished itself with its unique approach to custom framing, Chelsea Frames was hailed by Art Business News as being "a leading force in encouraging and supporting the art movement to Chelsea." In 2011, the studio expanded to include Galerie Protégé, born from a desire to create a sacred place where emerging artists could exhibit their work in the heart of the prestigious Chelsea gallery district.
Working Title highlights the ethos of these two leading entities under the reigns of Acker. Her curatorial efforts begin in the hiring process, making sure that her team understands the creative process at its pinnacle. The workforce behind 197 Ninth Avenue represents the highest level of professionalism in their work and in the art that they create. As a member of these institutions, the staff works behind the scenes to nurture the artistic ventures of others, meanwhile fulfilling artistic pursuits of their own in their lives outside of the studio.
