The paintings in Never Forgotten were begun after enduring the death of my mother, reuniting with a young love after 40 years, and navigating a once-in-a-century pandemic amid social unrest. The work in this show is highly personal and directly inspired by the events, places, and people in my own life, it is also fueled by a desire to synthesize physical and non-physical domains. My interest has always been in a quantum world where an infinite number of potential realities exists and is in a never-ending process of expression and dissipation. While that focus still exists, the events of this past year have pulled me further down into the physical plane in an attempt to navigate the fragile and vulnerable nature of our most intimate and never-ending connections.
