Our Corporate Headquarters
Open Ealing presents an exhibition considering life in the office/corporate environment. A great many working people spend the majority of their lives in these surroundings, and yet industrial estates and office blocks often appear in art as no more than monolithic ciphers for Capitalism. Here, artists retain their critical stance, but take us "within the citadel walls" to look at the everyday experience of office life, its processes, its spaces.

Using the media of photography, sculptural installation and video, the works in this exhibition range from pieces that involve transforming financial data and the by-products of the bureaucratic process into physical form, to surreally humorous observations of life at the corporation, to meditations upon the human experience of existing within the machine that is the workplace.

Open Ealing aims to introduce a refreshing cultural space and exciting arts programmes to the community by bringing artists, performers, art groups and residents together, promoting creativity and creating new opportunities. In its gallery spaces it strives to present the best of contemporary art by both emerging and established artists to West London and beyond.
